Probable Construction Costs:
Barton Associates, Inc. has been helping clients work their way through the financial aspects of their projects since its inception. We maintain a close relationship with extensive mechanical and electrical equipment manufacturers as well as working relationships with electrical and mechanical contractors. Our long history of successful projects provides us with a database that allows us to provide our clients with a reasonably accurate prediction of probable construction costs long before bid time. We also work closely with our clients and their contractors after bid day to ensure that value engineering is applied to all phases of the project to meet the client's budget.
Calculating Life Cycle Costs & Paybacks:
When a study involves the evaluation of alternative systems, Barton Associates, Inc. utilizes the industry leading TRACE software developed by The Trane Company.
Typically, HVAC system alternatives are studied due to their inherent first costs as well as their impact on operational costs. However, building orientation, envelope
composition and external shading factors can also be evaluated. More recently, alternative utility rate analyses have been conducted in order to help both existing and future building owners decide which of the myriad of rates available to choose.

Preparing & Administering Construction Contracts:
Barton Associates, Inc. is often the "Prime" professional for our construction projects. Our commitment to using EJCDC or, occasionally, the AIA forms of agreement, allows us best to serve our client's and avoid the problems associated with
arbitrary agreements. We will run the construction meetings, review pay applications and provide final inspection and commissioning reports when desired by the client. Barton Associates, Inc. has also provided assistance after the
project is complete by assisting client's with operation and maintenance procedures.
Assisting with Equipment Start-up, Commissioning & Compiling Operation Manuals:
Barton Associates, Inc. doesn't believe the project is complete just because the owner has moved into the facility. When requested, we have the ability to assist with equipment startup, system balancing, evaluation of control systems and
educating the user of proper operational procedures. Typically on our projects, Barton Associates, Inc. is the last service
provider to leave the job. We will not leave until the client is satisfied.
Trouble-shooting Existing Problems & Providing Solutions:
Barton Associates, Inc. has the unique capability to provide "hands on" expertise when it comes to troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems. We have a working knowledge of numerous Automatic Temperature Control Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Lighting Systems, Data
Networking Systems and other digital control, alarm and notification systems. Some of our licensed and non-licensed
