Lancaster General Women & Babies Hospital NICU Expansion

Lancaster, PA

 

Barton provided MEP design and construction services for 14,000 square feet of new construction and approximately 3,000 square feet of renovation for the Women & Babies Hospital’s NICU and Triage departments.  The project included a pharmacy on the second floor of the project, which was designed to meet clean room standards as required by USP797.

 

               

Ephrata Hospital Master Plan

Ephrata, PA

 

Barton conducted a study to evaluate the hospital’s existing mechanical and electrical systems serving the main hospital campus. The study included staff interviews and capacity analysis of systems to develop a comprehensive assessment of the existing systems. The study identified needs for systems upgrades and/or replacements based on age and/or condition and system functionality. The second phase of the study identified equipment and system capacity upgrades required to support the hospital’s planned emergency department expansion.

 

               

 

Good Samaritan Hospital Pharmacy

Lebanon, PA

 

Barton provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services for 5,700 square feet of renovations to the first floor area of the hospital to construct a new pharmacy. The pharmacy includes robotics for automated medication dispensing and a Class 7 clean room for preparations of intravenous medications.

               

 

Pinnacle Health System Mountain View Surgical Hospital

Harrisburg, PA

 

Barton provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services for a proposed two-story, 85,000 square-foot building on the Pinnacle Health Fredrickson Campus. The design included six operating rooms, a post anesthesia care unit and other associ­ated support space on the first floor as well as a 44-bed nursing unit on the second floor. The project did not proceed past the design phase to construction due to eco­nomic factors that arose prior to the start of construction.

               

 

Penn State Hershey Medical Center Emergency Department

Hershey, PA

 

Barton provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services for additions and renovations to the emergency department at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. The 9,200 square-foot addition included a mechanical room on the basement level, as well as 2,000 square feet of renovations on the first floor, and a 12,000 square-foot shell on the basement level of the addition. MEP services included four- pipe heating/cooling units, new air handler and associated air distribution, general exhaust systems, relocation of an MRI cryogen vent, new emergency feeders from the South Addition, nurse call, general plumbing and medical gas systems.

Lime Street MRI Suite Upgrades

Lancaster, PA

 

Barton provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services to transform an existing, single-story, 5,800 square-foot building into a medical office building.  The project included upgrades required in order to obtain licensure by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, as well as the replacement of an existing MRI unit, new roof top air handler, medical gases and lighting.
