Tell us a little bit about your life at home.

I have lived in New Cumberland, PA with my wife, Stephanie, since 2012. We were married in October of 2014 and have a 4 year old son, Elliot. We share our home with our 2 dogs; 18 month old Blue Heeler mix, Twyla, 14 year old Rottie/Lab mix, Teagan, and 1 cat; Pinkerton (13).

What is your hometown?

I grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania just down the street from the old chocolate factory. On humid days we often would wake up to the smell of chocolate in the air. We jokingly called Spring Creek the ‘Chocolate River’ since it seemed to flow right out of the factory like in the movie, Willy Wonky & the Chocolate Factory.

What was the first job you got paid to do?

Dishwasher at Fuddruckers.

What was your first job in engineering like?

During college I interned 2 years for a company that designed giant rotomold ‘ovens’ for Hobie Cat. These ovens, or ‘rock & roll’ machines as we called them, would form the plyetheylene bodies of the hulls for kayaks and sail boats. During my time with this company I used a 3D modeling software called SolidWorks to design the internal workings and mechanical components of the ovens. Once completed with the design I could walk down to the machine shop floor to watch my designs get constructed and tested. There were a few times I even got to work the machines and practice my welding skills I learned in college.
