Campus Utilities at Dickinson College

Barton Education Provides Service to Dickinson College for Over 20 Years

Barton Education has provided MEP services to Dickinson College for almost 20 years, spanning more than 30 projects. Several of these projects involved the extension of campus chilled/hot water to serve additional buildings including crossing a state highway to serve The Rush Campus.

Barton also provided MEP design services for a new gas fired cogeneration plant to supplement the existing electrically driven central chiller plant. The cogeneration plant design included an absorption chiller, 1 MW gas-fired microturbine, heat recovery steam generator and cooling tower.

Barton has also provided MEP services associated with the repair of, and the addition of expansion compensation in existing campus steam and condensate distribution piping systems.
