Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Emergency Department Upgrades to Serve Patients and Healthcare Providers

Barton Healthcare provided MEP engineering and construction services for 21,500 square feet of phased renovations and a 4,500 square-foot addition to the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Emergency Department.

The age, capacity, and condition of the existing chilled water, normal power, emergency power, plumbing and medical gas systems in the area of work were evaluated and upgraded as required.

Plumbing systems included modification and extension of the existing medical gas, domestic water, and sanitary sewer systems. A new storage tank was designed to collect drainage from the decontamination room.

HVAC systems included a new air handling unit, VAV system, and modification and extension of the existing hot water reheat system.

Electrical systems included normal and emergency power distribution from existing sources, UPS power for the new teledata room, nurse call, and fire alarm.
