Barton Education has completed multiple renovations to the Chambers Building on the Pennsylvania State University Campus. The College of Education resides in Chambers Building and is renovating the facility to support the increased use of technology within the classroom to better prepare Pennsylvania’s future Primary and Secondary science teachers, as well as support The Center for Science and the Schools’ (CSATS) mission of K-12 science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) outreach and K-12 teacher support programs. Barton Education has worked with the College to support multiple technology platforms for remote teaching initiatives and specific technology capabilities to support their STEM outreach. In addition to the technology upgrades, the projects full renovation scope included new HVAC systems, lighting and power distribution and technology upgrades. Renovated spaces included the Krause Innovation Studio for collaborative learning and technology integration in the classroom, Math Education Lab/classroom, Language Literature Lab/classroom, and, Social Studies Lab/classroom.
