East Halls Infrastructure Extended and Replaced to Better Serve Existing and New Residence Halls

Barton Education provided master planning and engineering services for East Halls at Penn State. The East Halls infrastructure serving East Halls had to be extended and replaced to support 14 existing and 2 new residence halls.

Services included the replacement of steam service for the complex, extending campus chilled water for all 16 buildings, replacement of domestic water service, replacement and expansion of natural gas distribution, replacement of site fire distribution piping, reuse water distribution and a complete revision of the central electrical distribution. The project included new campus distribution switchgear and conversion of existing 208v distribution to 480v distribution.
