Reynolds Middle School Receives Two Green Globe Rating

Barton Education provided MEP design services for renovations and additions to upgrade the aging, 1920, Reynolds Middle School for the School District of Lancaster.

The project included replacement of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems including, wet-pipe sprinkler fire The project included replacement of all MEP systems including, wet-pipe sprinkler fire protection, water-saving fixtures, high-efficiency water heaters, high-efficiency boilers, air-cooled chillers, LED lighting, normal and emergency power distribution, fully designed telecommunications infrastructure systems, access control, motion detection and video surveillance security systems. Six (6) telecom closets house the building’s IDF racks along with door access control panels. A planned construction phasing sequence enabled the school to remain operational during the replacement of the electrical and low voltage systems.

The school received Two Green Globe Rating from the Green Building Initiative.
