What is your favorite project you worked on?
My favorite project has been the ongoing work with Penn State East Halls. We are in the middle of this multi-year project involving complete renovations of 14 existing residence halls, 2 new residence halls, and renovating the mechanical spaces in the central dining halls and tunnel systems that serve all of the East Halls complex. I am thoroughly enjoying the sheer complexity of managing the BIM models for so many concurrent sub-projects and the phasing of central plant renovations that service multiple buildings.

What technologies interest you the most?
I enjoy immersing myself into the minutiae of what BIM technologies can do. I am especially interested in doing more with 3D scanning of existing spaces into BIM and further utilizing Dynamo to create custom programs within Revit to increase efficiency during design.

What’s your favorite thing about working at Barton?
My favorite thing about working at Barton is the team mentality approach to projects. The office environment is one of helping each other out and working together towards the common goal of creating the best project possible.

What do you do when you’re not working?
I enjoy spending time with my family and trying to teach my two-year old the finer points of football (beyond the fact that they run and fall down). I also am an avid photographer and especially enjoy photographing architecture and landscapes.
