About Mike

Mike has been with Barton for over 9 years and serves as one of Barton’s Vice President’s. Mike attended The Pennsylvania State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Architectural Engineering.

When asked what does being part of an ESOP mean to you, he states, “Being a member of an ESOP means that I have a direct stake in the ownership, operation and success of Barton Associates and I have obligated to do my best work each and every day to support my fellow employee owners.”

Tell us a little about your family/home life.

I have a wife and a 4 year old daughter. My wife and I were both born and raised in Central Pennsylvania.

What do you like most about the ESOP?

Working at an ESOP allows us to work together towards a common set of goals to improve the careers quality of life of every fellow employee owner.

What do you love most about your job?

I love the tangible qualities of watching a project develop from the initial planning and concepts to a physical structure / environment for people to live, work, etc.

What’s your favorite sport (professional, college, or other)?

Philadelphia Eagles without a doubt.

When I’m not at work I’m doing……

Gardening, barbecuing, riding my bicycle or playing with my daughter.

What’s on your bucket list?

Cross country road trip.

What’s the one movie you can watch over and over again?

Fletch.

What’s your favorite holiday and why?

Thanksgiving. The whole family comes together with no worry about presents, gifts, etc.
