Designing to Enhance Education
The Barton Education team strives to create inspiring, flexible, collaborative, and safe learning environments for our nation’s educators and future leaders.
We create lasting relationships with our clients and have completed nearly 3,000 education projects for higher education institutions and K-12 school districts.
We design MEP infrastructure for each facility based upon the individual needs and requirements of each project. We address individual project goals that may include specific temperature and humidity requirements, room acoustics, power distribution, technology requirements and lighting. We strive to minimize energy consumption, conserve natural resources and enhance indoor environmental quality in all project designs.
Higher Education
From major and minor renovations to new construction, the Barton Education team understands the importance of gaining early and detailed involvement from the various stakeholders on every project. We then incorporate this information to provide MEP design solutions that meet our clients’ needs for their specific project type.
We work closely with university faculty, students and operations staff at over 80 colleges and universities and utilize these relationships to provide industry best practices in our project design work.
Our varied project types have included science & technology research facilities, libraries, student housing, food services, academics, performing arts, campus infrastructure, athletic facilities, and campus life buildings.
K-12 Education
From the importance of indoor air quality to choosing designs for longevity and energy-efficiency, our Barton Education team understands the design of learning environments in the 21st century.
We have provided services to over 100 public and private K-12 school districts for both primary and secondary schools as well as libraries, gymnasiums, labs, cafeterias, and administration spaces.
