About Nicholas

Nick has been with Barton for over 5 years serving as an electrical designer at our Raliegh Office! He attended the Appalachian State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Building Sciences.

“Being a part of an ESOP is exciting because I get to be a partial owner in an impressive company that is still growing, and as an employee, I am able to directly contribute to the success of the company,” stated Nick when asked what being part of an ESOP means to him.

Tell us a little about your family/home life.

My wife Rachel and I have a home in Raleigh. For the past 15 months, our main focus has been our daughter Chloe, who has grown into an energetic, spunky little toddler. We’ve been in our house since early 2020 and enjoy doing projects around the house on weekends and spending time with local friends and family.

It makes me want to be as successful as I can be.

What do you love most about your job?

I love that I am able to have a hand in projects that shape the city around me, that I’ve grown up in and still call home. I love to see projects in the neighborhoods all around us come to fruition.

If I wasn’t an Electrical Designer, I’d be?
