Duties & Responsibilities

Barton Associates is looking to hire a Construction Services Administrative Assistant. This position aims to possess strong organizational skills and efficient work habits. This position is expected to:

  • Work closely with Construction Services Project Manager and project design teams.
  • Work in 3rd party construction software platforms including, but not limited to, ProCore, eBuilder, CMic, and ViewPoint:
    • Manage shop drawing review process for internal review and processing.
    • Manage construction request for information (RFI) process.
  • Maintain shop drawing, RFI, and construction addendum electronic filing.
  • Maintain/update construction change order logs.
  • Additional duties as assigned to support the Construction Services Project Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualified Construction Services Administrative Assistant candidates should:

  • Prefer a business-related Bachelor’s degree in a construction related field, an Associate’s degree with at least two years in Construction Administration, or a High School Diploma with more than five years of Construction Administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of Construction Services Administration processes.
  • Computer proficiency, including experience with Web-based applications, database management, and Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize workflow.
  • Maintain a neat work environment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Work Schedule

  • A full-time position is 40 hours per week with Benefits.
  • Primarily in-office with potential for a hybrid work schedule.
  • Salary negotiable based on previous experience and current skillsets.
