Description
Barton Associates is seeking talented students for internship or co-op experiences at any of our office locations. Our internship and co-op program is designed to give students the most real world experience possible.
Our program is tailored to each student’s specific interests and desired career path in mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or lighting design. Every intern is paired with a senior engineer in their area of interest that will act as a mentor and guide them through their daily activities. Typical job assignments will include project surveys, project specific design tasks, attending project meetings, building information modeling and participating in shop drawing reviews and job-site inspections.
In addition to working with a mentor, each intern will spend time with our construction services department and either mechanical or electrical department so they receive a well-rounded understanding of other disciplines. This collaboration is a vital part of our industry and having knowledge of these other disciplines will help as you transition to a full-time career.
