Barton Associates is pleased to announce that Lawrence Zdinak, Jr., PE recently joined the firm as the Director of Operations in our Pittsburgh office.
With a career spanning over 21 years in engineering, management, and sales/business development, Larry brings an extensive list of experience in higher education, K-12, public safety, correctional, sports/ recreation, commercial, and healthcare markets to Barton. He graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in 14 states as well as a member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
Prior to joining Barton Associates, Larry was the Director of Engineering at L.R. Kimball/CDI Infrastructure in Pittsburgh. Some of his notable clients include California University of Pennsylvania, Mount Aloysius College, Penn State University, Robert Morris University, University of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania State Police, UPMC, Sheetz, Department of the Air Force, Dollar Bank, Lockheed Martin, and US Airways (now part of American Airlines).
In his new role, Larry serves as the Director of Operations and oversees the daily activities of the Pittsburgh office, manages projects and serves as the primary contact for clients. He is also responsible for developing new business opportunities while continuing to strengthen existing business relationships.
