We are pleased to announce that Michael Rader, PE, CEM has been promoted to President of the firm.
Michael joined Barton Associates in 1997 as a mechanical engineer and for the past three years has served as the Chief Operating Officer for the firm. He will also continue to serve as the Principal-in-Charge of the firm’s education market.
As President and Chief Operating Officer, Michael will provide leadership and guidance to the firm’s management team as well as ensure Barton continues to live by its principals and achieve its mission as well as its strategic plan. He will also oversee and coordinate the activities of all branch offices and associated business unit leaders.

Michael has always been a key contributor to the growth of Barton over the years and as the new President he will be fundamental in positioning the firm for future growth and success,” remarked N. Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola College. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
