Yancy Unger, PE, LEED AP has been hired as a Senior Client Manager to work in our York office. Yancy brings to Barton Associates his 19 years of management, engineering, and sustainable building design experience. Throughout his career, he has focused on higher education, laboratory, historical renovations, government, and cultural arts projects.
Yancy is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in lighting and electrical systems design. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and Maryland as well as a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
In his new position, Yancy is part of the management team responsible for securing work through communications with new and existing clients. He will work closely with our Business Unit Leaders and Marketing Sector Vice Presidents.

Prior to joining Barton Associates, Yancy was Senior Associate/Project Manager/Electrical Engineer and Lead Lighting Designer in Baltimore, MD. Some of his notable experience includes projects at Johns Hopkins University, Duke University, University of Delaware, University of Maryland, University of Virginia, Rutgers University, George Mason University, Shepherd University, Messiah College, Swarthmore College, Towson University, Monticello Visitors Center, Smithsonian, Delaware Museum of Natural History, Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards, Rehoboth Beach Museum, and the Walters Art Gallery.
