About David

David is an electrical engineer that has over 21 years of service in the engineering profession. He is a graduate of Widener University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

When David is not at work, he is coaching the Central York High School varsity ice hockey team. Most weekends are spent traveling to various youth sporting events.

Tell us a little bit about your life at home.

Married to Angie for 25 years. We have 4 children – David (24), Garrett (20), Ava (17) and Logan (17). David is a welder/metal fabricator, Garrett is a junior at York College studying Criminal Justice. Ava and Logan are high school seniors. Ava will be attending St Bonaventure University next year and playing on the women’s soccer team. Logan is an accomplished ice hockey player and undecided about his plans after high school. Angie sells antiques and vintage items online.

What is your hometown?

Born and raised in Myerstown, PA – no joke.

What was your first job in engineering like?

Started at Barton Associates in 1996. Spent a lot of time at the blue print machine.

What was the first job you got paid to do?

Worked for my dad’s company, Blatt & Myers Electrical Contractors while in high school and college.

What’s your favorite sport (professional, college, or other)?

Ice Hockey.

My favorite pizza topping is…

Everything tastes better with bacon.

What’s on your “stranded on a desert island” playlist?

Listening to the waves crash on the beach on repeat.

What’s the one movie you can watch over and over again?

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
