About Dustin
Dustin has been with Barton for over 9 years as a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager at our Raleigh Office! He attended the University of New Hampshire where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Tell us a little about your family/home life.
I live in Raleigh with my wife Allyson, and baby boy Davis born in July 2024. We are near downtown and enjoy going on walks, especially in search of coffee and ice cream. Our massive stroller helps clear people off the sidewalks.
What’s your hometown?
Bedford, New Hampshire. It’s close enough to Boston, for those geographically challenged.
What was your first job in engineering like?
I was a summer intern for a ball-bearing manufacturing plant in a college town. We spent most of the summer making a promotional movie about the experience and enjoying happy hour 7 days a week.
What was the first job you got a physical paycheck?
Tennis teacher for 4-5 year old’s. On clay courts. So basically, an art director.
What does being part of an ESOP mean to you?
I like holding value both in the company and to the company.
If I wasn’t an engineer, I’d be?
Actuary, followed by coffee shop owner.
What’s your favorite sport (professional, college, or other)?
Pickleball to play, hockey to watch.
What’s your hidden talent?
I’m a skilled Barista and can make fancy latte art.
What’s on your bucket list?
Take a vacation to wine country…could be Napa, Oregon, Italy or France.
What’s your favorite holiday and why?
Thanksgiving. Food, football, nice NC weather, and no gifts (plus close to my wedding anniversary).
