About Kelcie
Kelcie joined Barton in 2024 as a Mechanical Designer at our Raleigh Office. She attended East Carolina University earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
“It means that the daily work that I do contributes to my success and the companies,” Kelcie explained when asked what being part of an ESOP means to her.

Tell us a little about your family/home life.
I come from a small town in North Carolina and have a tight-nit family. My younger sister and mom are my best friends. My dad and grandfather are/were pilots and that led me to my passion for engineering. I have a close circle of loved ones who have made me who I am today.
What’s your hometown?
Carthage, NC. A small town close to Pinehurst where they hold the U.S. Open for golf!
What was the first job you got a physical paycheck?
Hickory Tavern in Pinehurst as a hostess.
What do you like most about the ESOP?
I like that I get to see the benefits of my hard work.
What do you love most about your job?
The flexibility to enjoy my personal life and work life all together.
What’s your favorite sport (professional, college, or other)?
Hockey.
When I’m not at work I’m doing……
Coffee shops, festivals, being outside with my animals, and spending time with friends/family.
What’s your hidden talent?
Performance color guard, in high school I was captain of my team and performed alongside the band with sabres, rifles and flags.
What’s the one movie you can watch over and over again?
The Greatest Showman.
What’s on your bucket list?
Banff, Canada.
When I go to a cookout I hope there’s __ to eat.
Potato salad.
What’s your favorite holiday and why?
Christmas, I love that I am at the age now where I can afford to get gifts for all of my loved ones.
Have you ever met your idol or someone famous?
I met Nia Frazier from Dance Moms on a Disney Cruise and even did a Just Dance routine with her on Wii.
