About Pranit
Pranit joined Barton in 2023 as a Mechanical Designer at our York Office. He attended The University of Texas at San Antonio earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Tell us a little about your family/home life.
After transitioning from active duty, I moved to Dillsburg where I live close to my family now. I am the youngest of four siblings and my parents. We enjoy spending time together, cooking, and hanging out. It’s great to be close to family!

San Antonio, Texas.
What was your first job in engineering like?
My first engineering job was with Southern Folger Detention Equipment Company in San Antonio, Texas building prison doors. I worked as a Document Control Specialist.
What was the first job you got a physical paycheck?
I worked at Branon’s Cafe, Westin La Cantara, San Antonio, Texas.
What does being part of an ESOP mean to you?
Being part of an ESOP gives me a strong sense of ownership and responsibility, as I have a direct stake in the company’s success and a shared commitment to our goals.
What do you like most about the ESOP?
The ESOP gives me a sense of ownership and shared purpose. It aligns my interests with the company’s success, making me feel more personally invested in its growth and future. It’s not just about doing my job—it’s about contributing to something bigger. Knowing that if the company succeeds, I succeed too!
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is the amazing people and the supportive, collaborative environment. It’s fantastic to work where everyone is genuinely invested in each other’s success, boosting the team’s success.
If I wasn’t a Designer, I’d be?
I’d probably still be doing the same thing—working on aircraft.
What’s your favorite sport (professional, college, or other)?
Soccer (Team USA).

I am seldom without my phone these days, as it has become essential for almost everything.
When I’m not at work I’m doing…..
I’m often working on DIY projects around the house, working with my old Honda, or spending time with family. I also love getting outdoors—whether it’s hiking or backpacking, I’m always up for an adventure!
Favorite pizza topping?
Mushrooms and pepperoni.
What’s on your “stranded on a desert island” playlist?
I enjoy all genres of music.
What’s your hidden talent?
I speak multiple languages.
What’s the one movie you can watch over and over again?
Gladiator (The first one).
What’s on your bucket list?
Summit to Mt. Everest base camp, visit all seven continents.
When I go to a cookout I hope there’s __ to eat.
I enjoy all kinds of food.
What’s your favorite holiday and why?
I love Christmas because I like the decorations and the festive atmosphere. I love spending time with family, drinking hot chocolate, and watching holiday movies.
Best book you’ve ever read?
The Alchemist.
What’s the best piece of advice that you’ve ever been given?
Make the most of your time, because it’s finite—focus on doing what you enjoy, have fun, and embrace the moments that bring you joy.
