FinTech Fit-Up Renovation Creates State-of-the-Art Spaces for University of Delaware

Barton Education provided MEP engineering services for the fit-out of approximately 52,000 square feet on the 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th floors of the newly constructed FinTech (Financial Technology) Innovation Hub.

The building is a 6-story, 104,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility that sits on University of Delaware’s STAR (Science Technology and Advanced Research) campus in Newark, Delaware. The fit-out provides additional space for the University’s Lerner College of Business and Economics, as well as the College of Engineering. Renovations will provide these programs with offices, collaboration rooms, large conference center, classrooms, media studios, cyber range, research/digital labs, open study areas, ideation space, and a 2-story open forum with assembly stair.

The project was a collaboration between the recently completed core and shell building, owned by Delaware Technology Park (DTP), and the University of Delaware.
