Historic Mock Judson Voehringer Hosiery Mill Renovated Into MoJud Lofts
Barton provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural lighting design services for the adaptive reuse/historic renovation to convert the historic building into a mixed-use building. MoJud Lofts is a 2-story building with 170 units located in Greensboro, NC.
The project included renovating the historic Mock Judson Voehringer Mill into market-rate apartments including a clubhouse area, fitness room, and theater. Exposed structure and high ceilings with some mezzanine type units are hallmarks of the final design.
The plant was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
