We are excited to announce that Daniel J. Chinchar, EIT, has joined Barton as an Electrical Designer in our York office!
“We’re pleased to welcome Daniel to Barton. His experience in electrical systems design and commitment to growing his technical expertise make him a strong addition to our team,” said Jon Slagel, PE, LEED AP, Vice President.
Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Elizabethtown College in 2023. Since graduating, he has gained experience in the MEP industry working on a variety of project types, including food markets, higher education facilities, retail spaces, maintenance facilities, and more. His areas of expertise include power systems, lighting, fire alarm systems, and telecommunications design. Daniel currently holds his Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and plans to pursue his Professional Engineer (PE) license as early as next year.
As an Electrical Designer at Barton, Daniel will support the design and development of electrical systems through design calculations, system layouts, equipment research and selection, specifications, and code research. He will also assist with the preparation of studies, reports, specifications, and opinions of probable construction cost.
