College of Nursing at Penn State Expansion to Serve Expanding Healthcare Needs

Barton Education provided MEP engineering services for renovation and expansion to the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing for Penn State University. The project provided a new 180-person simulation-ready classroom and a knowledge-commons for students across 2,700 additional square feet. The new state-of-the-art facility provides flexible learning environments and communal areas designed for group study and discussion.

MEP design services included complete renovations of the 2nd and 3rd floors, including a new HVAC system, building electrical service upgrade, power distribution system, technology upgrades and lighting systems.

Barton also provided MEP engineering design services to create a 2,400 square-foot of faculty/staff clinic and a 4,000 square-foot addition for an accessible entrance for this building back in March 2017 for $3.8 million. Barton also completed the feasibility study for the 70,000 square-foot building renovation.
