New State-of-Art Millersville Outpatient Center Designed for Penn State Health
Barton Healthcare provided MEP design and construction services for a new state-of-the-art clinic for Penn State Health Medical Group located in Millersville, PA. The 11,000 square-foot project consisting of nineteen exam rooms, two treatment rooms, provider offices, care teamwork area, reception, waiting, lab, and support spaces. The medical practice is intended to serve both university students and the local community.
The MEP design includes typical domestic water, sanitary, vent, and natural gas plumbing systems. The HVAC system for the building consists of two gas-fired rooftop units with variable air volume distribution and electric reheat coils. There are four negative pressure, fully exhausted exam rooms dedicated for patients with respiratory illnesses. The building is served by a 600-amp, 120/208V normal power electrical service. Provisions were planned for a future emergency generator and distribution system.
