Temple University Health System Renovates Hospital for Women & Families
Barton Healthcare is providing MEP design and construction services for the renovation of the former cancer treatment hospital to convert the hospital into a dedicated Women & Families Hospital for Temple University Health System.
The 103,600 square-foot renovation will include an outpatient women’s imaging and exam suite, an emergency stabilization suite, post-partum patient rooms, converting the existing ICU unit to a labor/delivery/recovery unit, modifying the existing surgical suite to allow for C-section procedures, a newborn nursery, and a neonatal intensive care unit.
The existing medical gas, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems will be modified and extended to serve the proposed renovations. Replacement of two existing emergency generators and upgrades to the emergency power system is also included in the project.
