WellSpan Heart and Vascular Center Advances Cardiovascular Care in the York Area

Barton Healthcare provided MEP engineering and architectural lighting design services for the new two-story 62,000 square-foot, Heart and Vascular Center for WellSpan.

The medical office building centralizes the health systems cardiovascular outpatient care services in the York area.

The first floor contains six integrated cardiac and vascular clinics, which includes 54 standard, flexible exam rooms, registration, office, and support spaces.

The second floor includes cardiac rehabilitation and non-invasive testing such as ultrasound, echo, stress, and nuclear medicine.

The building also features a retail café, a multi-purpose community space, demonstration kitchen and an occupiable roof garden.

The building is served by rooftop air handlers with Dx cooling, hot water boilers, and a VAV air distribution system. Electrical systems include a site lighting, emergency generator, and nurse call systems.

Barton’s Lighting Studio is honored to have received the 2022 Certificate of Merit Award for Interior Lighting Design on this project from the Illuminating Engineering Society’s (IES) Philadelphia Section.
