We are pleased to announce that Michael Rader, PE, CEM has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Michael joined the firm in 1997 as a mechanical engineer and most recently served as a business unit leader of the York office. He will continue to serve as the Vice President of Education.
As Chief Operating Officer, Michael will provide leadership and guidance to the firm’s management team as well as ensure Barton continues to live by its principals and achieve its mission. He will oversee and coordinate activities of all Branch Offices and associated business unit leaders.

Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola College. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania as well as a Certified Energy Manager and a Certified Energy Professional registered with the Association of Energy Engineers. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Association of Energy Engineers.
