Bowers Center Features Sports, Fitness, and Well-Being Services
Barton Education provided MEP design and construction services for a new 81,900 square-foot Bowers Center that houses wellness programming, intramural and club sports, and intercollegiate athletics for Elizabethtown College.
The facility features group fitness studios, cardio, strength and conditioning areas, a multi-purpose gymnasium with three basketball courts and 180-meter track, wellness classrooms, meeting and gathering spaces for students, a café, a spin studio, training and athletic treatment areas, catering kitchen and demonstration cooking classroom and office space for health educators and campus recreation.
The project is the largest facility constructed on campus in 20 years and the project earned LEED Silver Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
