UPMC Outpatient Center is largest Heart and Vascular Institute facility in health system
Barton Healthcare provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design services to fit-out approximately 44,000 square feet of an existing commercial office building for a new outpatient clinic in Mechanicsburg, PA. The outpatient center is now UPMC largest Heart and Vascular Institute facility in their health system.
The center will provide cardiac rehab space, advanced cardiac imaging technology and a heart failure center.
The aggressive project construction schedule required Barton to coordinate and specify major MEP equipment with the Construction Manager and Design-Assist partner during the conceptual design phase of the project. This allowed the majority of MEP equipment to be purchased and fabricated while the design progressed.
