Barton’s New 2024 Promotions

It is a very exciting time at Barton as we are excited to announce four of our employee-owners have been promoted for their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to Roger Thies, Stephen Oskin, Kenneth McLain, and Kyle Courtney. 

“The new leadership structure marks the beginning of the next phase in the evolution and growth at Barton Associates, said Michael S. Rader, PE, President and CEO. “We know these individuals will continue to provide exceptional service to our clients, our projects and to the development of our internal capabilities.”

Roger Thies, PE, LEED AP has been promoted to Senior Vice President. He has been with Barton for over 18 years and will lead multiple Barton Associates regional offices. Roger will work with the firm’s Regional Business unit leaders, Technical Directors and Project Managers to oversee project development, quality, and project delivery for the region. He will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors and work with the firm’s executive leadership team to guide the growth and expansion of Barton Associates.

Stephen Oskin, PE, LEED AP has been promoted to Director of Engineering. He has over 22 years of experience and will lead the company’s engineering team and will guide our mechanical and electrical technical directors. Stephen will oversee all technical staff development, firm engineering standards and quality control for the firm. He will work with the executive leadership team to guide the technical expertise of the firm.

Kenneth McLain has been promoted to Director of BIM/VDC. He has been with Barton for over 13 years and will lead Barton’s building information modeling (BIM) efforts across the firm. Ken will be responsible for training and development, company BIM standards, and researching and implementing virtual design and construction best practices.

Kyle Courtney, PE has been promoted to Regional Technical Director, Mechanical. He has been with Barton for over 10 years and will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the regional mechanical engineering staff. Kyle will directly manage the technical staff and work with other Regional Technical Directors and the Business Unit leaders to maximize staff utilization.
